*Kerrville will again be the Focus of Art and Music Events on Memorial Day Weekend, 2024. 

The 21st ANNUAL TEXAS MASTERS OF FINE ART & CRAFT SHOW,  Friday, May 24, through Sunday, May 26, 2024.  About 2 dozen award-winning Texas artists will transform the ballrooms of the Y.O. Ranch Hotel into a breath-taking gallery of original artwork. This show has become an annual “Collectors’ Showcase” as art aficionados travel from all over the US for the chance to acquire new treasures. The Kerr Arts & Cultural Center will be presenting the SOUTHWEST GOURD AND FIBER FINE ART SHOW, along with other activities May 16 through June 29, 2024. Show hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 4pm.  The 52nd ANNUAL KERRVILLE FOLK FESTIVAL will return  May 23-June 09, 2024, with another outstanding lineup of performances by masters of the folk music genre. One of the great Texas traditions, this internationally acclaimed gathering of musicians is held annually at the Quiet Valley Ranch, 9 miles south of Kerrville on Texas Hwy 16, at 3876 Medina Hwy, Kerrville, TX 78028. In addition to concerts, the festival offers activities for all ages that are focused on nurturing and developing artistic expression, especially the art of songwriting. The Museum of Western Art is featuring its “41st Annual Roundup Exhibition & Sale, April 27 – June 8, 2024.” The Exhibition and Sale will bring together more than 60 top Western Artists presenting more than 100 original works of Western Art. The museum is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and promotion of the tradition of Western Art. The museum itself feels like a work of western art, as it was designed by renowned Texas architect O’Neil Ford and is located in a beautiful Hill Country setting  at 1550 Bandera Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028. The Hill Country Arts Foundation will host  the Texas Watercolor Society’s 2024 Annual Show, May 3 – June 29, 2024. This is a national show featuring art from across the U. S. The HCAF will also host workshops featuring renowned watercolor artists. In addition to the events that attract artists from across the state, Kerr County is home to many artists and craftspeople, making it a popular destination for art lovers. Also, the Hill Country is becoming a center for wine making as more than 60 wineries have formed the Texas Hill Country Wine Trail.
