Arts Events in Kerrville Memorial Weekend

Kerrville will again be the Focus of Art and Music Events during Memorial Day Weekend, 2025.

The 22nd ANNUAL TEXAS MASTERS OF FINE ART & CRAFT SHOW, Friday, May 23, through Sunday, May 25. 25 of the finest award-winning Texas artists will transform the ballrooms of the Y.O. Ranch Hotel into a breath-taking gallery of original artwork. This show has become an annual “Collectors’ Showcase” as art aficionados travel from all over the US for the chance to acquire new treasures.

The YO Ranch Hotel is located at 2033 Sidney Baker (Hwy 16), ½ mile from exit 508 of IH 10, on the southwest corner of Sidney Baker and Hwy 534. The show hours will be Friday, 10 a.m. -7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is free. 53rd Annual Kerrville Folk Festival, Quiet Valley Ranch, May 22 – June 08. The Kerrville Folk Festival is a beloved annual event celebrating music, community, and the arts in the heart of Texas Hill Country. The Museum of Western Art is featuring its 42nd Annual Roundup Exhibition & Sale, April 25 through June 7. The Exhibition and Sale will bring together more than 50 top Western Artists presenting more than 150 original works of Western Art.  This year’s exhibition includes three days of art fun, demonstrations and other festivities. Friday and Saturday will include daytime educational opportunities, demonstrations, and a chance for the public to meet and greet with world-class artists. Opening weekend festivities include an awards dinner on April 25 and box draw sale of over 150 pieces of original Western Art on April 26.

The Museum of Western Art is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and promotion of the tradition of Western Art. The museum itself feels like a work of western art, as it was designed by renowned Texas architect O’Neil Ford and is located in a beautiful Hill Country setting at 1550 Bandera Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028. The Hill Country Quilt Guild will present the 2025 Quilt Show, themed “Stars are the Journey”, May 23-24 at the Hill Country Events Center. The show will feature more than 200 quilts with additional special exhibits and 15 vendors.

The Hill Country Arts Foundation will present “Easy on the Eye”, its annual members’ show, May 9 through June 27, in the HCAF gallery. The HCAF Members’ Show is a tradition that showcases the talents of two-dimensional artist/members of the foundation. There will be a reception, Friday, May 9, from 5 to 7 pm and awards will be presented at 6 pm.

In addition to the events that attract artists and musicians from across the country, Kerr County and the surrounding area is home to art galleries and the studios of nationally recognized artists and craftspeople, making it a popular destination for art lovers. The Rivers Edge Gallery, located at 838 Water St. in downtown Kerrville is another great Hill Country art destination. The gallery owners, Debbie and Mike Wilson, have been presenting the works of award-winning artists ranging from realistic Western art to contemporary abstract compositions in a beautiful 15,000 sq. ft. venue for over 20 years.  Also, the Hill Country is becoming a center for wine making as more than 60 wineries are producing wine from their locally grown grapes.
